The Czech Flat Track Championship stopped in Svitavy, on the speedway oval of the town in Eastern Bohemia. A single day of racing, valid as the ninth round of the season, delivered close battles and international competition, with riders from FT1 and FT Classics putting on a show for the crowd.
In FT1, the spotlight was on Ondřej Svědík, who set the pace all the way to the checkered flag, finishing ahead of Vít Janoušek and Adam Nejezchleba, completing an all-Czech podium. German rider Christian Stange secured fourth place, with Tomáš Kolařík rounding out the top five. Behind them, Kamil Peuker, Poland’s Bartosz Tymoszuk and Germany’s Elias Altman added more action to the midfield. Notably absent was Ervín Krajčovič, who chose to skip the race to recover physically ahead of the final and decisive World Championship rounds.
The FT Classics also provided great entertainment, with the German contingent on top: Elias Altman took victory ahead of Friedrich Altus and Christian Lucas. Jiří Mikšovský finished just off the podium in fourth, followed by fellow Czech Milan Jurik. Then came Rico Mendel, who finished ahead of Tomáš Kaňovský and Michal Bořuta, while Jan Rudolf, Jan Junghans, Vojtěch Vavřich, Jiří Slezák and Lucie Pokorná completed the standings.
Svitavy thus hosted another intense weekend, with hard-fought races and international riders confirming once again the steady growth of flat track in the Czech Republic. Now the focus shifts to the upcoming challenges, with the FIM Flat Track World Championship returning in the next two weekends in Hungary and Pardubice.
