In Greenfield, in the heart of Lincolnshire, the grand finale of the 2025 DTRA Flat Track Nationals took place over the weekend of September 20–21. It wasn’t technically a true finale, as the two rounds at Amman Valley, postponed from August to October due to bad weather, are still to be held. Nevertheless, Greenfield remains the official Finale—a round that doesn’t award championship points but closes the season in style.
The turnout of riders for this flat track event was impressive: 109 entrants across 15 different categories alternating between Saturday and Sunday, from modern DTX bikes to vintage machines, from twins to minibikes. This shows that flat track in the UK is in excellent health and is set to remain so in the seasons to come, as evidenced by the 19 participants in the Youth categories and the 11 registered in Rookie—always very young riders.
The Greenfield event was masterfully organized by the Dirt Track Riders Association, which, among other things, exceptionally hosted the International Women’s Race, a women-only competition with 16 participants from 7 different countries, including England, Scotland, Sweden, the United States, Canada, and Ecuador.
In addition to the International Women’s Race, for the second year in a row Greenfield hosted the Royal Enfield Slide School Europe Cup. Essentially, this is the European finale of the Royal Enfield flat track one-make series, held in the UK, Italy, and the Netherlands over the past few seasons. For the occasion, the national delegations of the Royal Enfield Slide School selected three riders each to compete representing their respective countries.
