Jack Bell chasing the American dream

British rider Jack Bell, 10th overall in the 2025 FIM Flat Track World Championship and now part of the Dick Shepherd Triumph team on the brand-new TF 450 X, is about to embark on a winter trip that will feel like living the American dream – even if only for a couple of weeks.

Anyone who knows flat track is well aware that the sport in the United States is a completely different story compared to Europe. That’s where flat track was born, where it grew, and where it developed to the point of hosting hundreds of races every year across the entire country, and where the most specialized and strongest riders in the world compete in the most advanced series on the planet: American Flat Track. In the U.S., you learn to ride a motorcycle by turning laps on a dirt oval, unlike other countries where riders usually become flat trackers after learning their craft on road racing circuits or motocross tracks.

Bell will fly to Florida for a training day at the Pensacola Dirt Track, on the Alabama border, followed by a race scheduled for January 9. In the following days, more races await in Georgia, just a few kilometres away, at the Southern Raceway in Bainbridge.

The highlight of the American trip will be January 15–17 with the Winter Throwdown Event, an unofficial but long-established meeting that attracts many of the best flat track riders in the country every year. For everyone involved, it’s excellent training ahead of the new season and a chance to measure themselves against top-level opponents.

This trip is a big opportunity for me to race along side the best riders in the sport and I will gain lots of knowledge and try my hardest to fight for top positions. I am very excited for this action packed trip, I am working hard and gathering as much information as possible to be sure I am 100% ready for the trip” said Jack one month before departure.

Jack Bell’s American dream trip is clearly a major commitment, especially for a rider who isn’t fully factory-supported, in terms of time, physical effort and, of course, costs. If companies or private individuals are interested in supporting the project, they can contact the rider directly at jackbell93.jb93@aol.com to define a sponsorship package.
