2025 FIM Flat Track ready for round 2 in Germany

After the season opener in Terenzano just a few weeks ago, it’s go-time again for the 2025 FIM Flat Track World Championship. Round two is revving up this Saturday, June 14th, on the 394-meter speedway oval of the Motorsportclub Meissen in Germany.

The fight for the title is wide open, but right now all eyes are on Czech rider Ervin Krajčovič, fresh off his win in Italy and already sitting pretty with 25 points in the bag. He’s the man to beat—but the pack behind him is hungry.

First in line to make his life difficult is going to be Sammy Halbert. The American had a rough go in Terenzano despite showing serious speed: he qualified for the Final with the highest score, only to get slapped with a penalty for jumping the start. Forced to launch from the penalty lane, he clawed his way back up to fifth—proof he’s got fire in the tank.

Keep an eye on Daniele Tonelli, runner-up in Italy and flying on his TM. Also in the mix is Ondřej Svědík, who nailed third place in the opening round and grabbed an extra bonus point for clocking the fastest time in the Final.

Germany will also be redemption territory for Gerard Bailo (fourth in points, but battered after a crash with Corradetti), for Corradetti himself—who showed flashes of raw speed but couldn’t quite put it all together—and for the British duo Bell and especially Neave, who left Terenzano limping with a busted knee and a blown Yamaha engine.

Flying the Italian flag once again are Giacomo Bossetti, team VFR by Fabrizio Vesprini, and rookies Michele Guerra (Husqvarna) and Stefano Casiraghi on the OMT Beta. Missing in action will be Alex Dalla Valle, who raced in Terenzano as a wild card. Wild Card in the German GP will instead be, just like last year, 24-year-old Sebastian Thalheim, competing on KTM #666.

Mark your calendars: Saturday, June 14th – Meissen, Germany. Round two of the 2025 Flat Track World Championship is coming in hot. The next stop? Donji Kraljevec, Croatia, in mid-July.
