FIM Flat Track 2025 Calendar: Six-Round Showdown Across Europe

The 2025 Flat Track World Championship is set to hit the dirt with six rounds, all hosted in Europe between May and September. Just like in 2024, the FIM Flat Track season will kick off in Italy — but this time, not at the unique TT layout of Boves (CN), where the series has traditionally started in recent years. Instead, the opener will take place at the thrilling oval in Terenzano, a venue well known to the international track racing crowd for hosting high-level speedway events — including the unforgettable penultimate round of the 2010 SpeedwayGP, where Tomasz Gollob clinched the world title.

Back to Flat Track business: after the Italian GP, the championship heads to Meissen, Germany in mid-June, a track already featured in the 2024 calendar. One month later, riders will battle it out in Donji Kraljevec, Croatia, at the Millennium Speedway Stadium — a well-equipped venue with covered stands and a tight 305-meter oval.

Late August sees a return to Germany, this time to the long 1,000-meter track in Schessel. This high-speed circuit could shake up the standings — and it’s easy to picture a rider like Sammy Halbert, the American powerhouse with a knack for fast tracks, feeling right at home.

Mid-September brings the championship to Vasad, Hungary, before wrapping up the 2025 season in Pardubice, Czech Republic. The final round will go down on the legendary 391-meter oval of the Golden Helmet — or Zlata Prilba, as they say in Czech — one of the most prestigious speedway events in the world. It’s a packed weekend of two-wheeled action: Flat Track World Championship finale on Saturday, September 20, and the Golden Helmet on Sunday, September 21.
